Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of New York School of Medicine and Fellow at the American College of Physicians. Dr. Chowdhury was also the Associate Director of Internal medicine with United Health Services.
Mr. Umar has worked in the correctional health industry his entire career, with over thirty years of experience. Mr. Umar is responsible for maintaining current, and establishing new, client relationships. Additionally, he serves as a liaison with correctional administrators and public health administrators.
Supervises clinical activities related to mental health services personnel. She evaluates all patients referred for mental illness. She treats patients that require psychiatric intervention & certifies whether a patient needs to transfer to a psychiatric facility. She also reviews & adjusts, mental health medications at a minimum of once every thirty days.
Mr. Krom had over 35 years working in the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office in New York. He spent nearly ten of those years as the Jail Administrator and, as such, is able to provide critical insight to the corporate staff and help bridge the gap between corporate decision making and operational needs. His role at CBH Medical naturally flows from his work history, as he has intimate knowledge of the modern principles and practices that govern correctional facility administration. Most importantly, however, Mr. Krom is practical and understands how to take CBH Medical’s overall strategy and implement it into operations in a manner that provides the best services at the best price.

CBH Mᴇᴅɪᴄᴀʟ uses evidence-based practice by utilization of the Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol (CIWA) and The Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) scales along with medically guided treatment protocols. All inmates are screened during the receiving screening process and evaluated during the health assessment for their use of or dependence on drugs and/or alcohol.
